The airport closest to Les Village is Ngura Rai International Airport in Denpasar, Bali.
Pick up from Denpasar or airport is the easiest way to reach us! Just let us know your flight details and we will be at the welcome area of the airport holding a placard bearing your name. Or we can pick you up from your hotel in the Denpasar resort area or Ubud. If you arrive early in the day, we could turn the 3 hour trip to Les into a day trip. You could stop by touristy places like Ubud, Bali's cultural capital, and scenic spots like Kintamani, host to the smoldering volcano and caldera lake of Batur.
You could opt to drive too. Be sure you have an international driver license to avoid being hassled on the road.
The shortest route from the airport is through Ubud-Kintamani-Madenan-Tejakula. Les is the village next to Tejakula. This is a mountainous route. Travel time is 3 hours.
An alternative mountain route passes through Bedugul, with its twin lakes, winds down Singaraja, Bali's former capital and second largest city, and follows the coast heading east towards Amlapura. Les is about 45 minutes from Singaraja. Total travel time is 3.5 to 4 hours.
The longest route follows the eastern coast of Bali as it flows through Klungkung-Candidasa-Amlapura-Tulamben. Les is 45 minutes west of Tulamben. Total travel time is 4 to 4.5 hours.
You could commute too. Be aware that public transportation in Bali has no fixed time schedule. Some routes end their service as early as 4pm. We do not recommend this. But if you opt to commute, take a taxi from the airport to Ubung Terminal in Denpasar where you could take a bus to Singaraja. In Singaraja, take a bemo heading for Amlapura and tell the driver to drop you off at Les Village. Expect to spend an entire day on the road when you choose this option.
